

Chetan Sharma-led All India senior selection committee has announced Team India’s squad for their upcoming white-ball series against Sri Lanka on Saturday.
Rohit Sharma, who was appointed as India’s white-ball captain a couple of months back, has been named as the full-time captain in the red-ball format as well. It means Rohit Sharma will now lead team India in all the three formats.
Jasprit Bumrah has been appointed as T20 & Test vice-captain for the upcoming Sri Lanka series as KL Rahul ruled out of the series due to hamstring injury.
Key Omission & Additions To The Team
- Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane dropped from the Test squad.
- Sanju Samson has been added in T20I squad.
- Ravindra Jadeja is also making a comeback after recovering from an injury.
- Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant have been rested for the T20 series against Sri Lanka.
