Royal Challengers Bangalore, on Sunday, announced Madhya Pradesh cricketer Rajat Patidar as the replacement for the injured Luvnith Sisodia for the remainder of the season.
Sisodia, the wicket-keeper batter from Karnataka was picked up by the franchise in this year’s auction for his base price of 20 lakhs. However, the 22-year old’s injury has now made the franchise pick up Rajat Patidar, who has already played for the franchise in past.
The right-handed batter had previously represented the franchise four times and will join RCB for the price of INR 20 Lakh. He has so far played 31 T20s, where he has scored 861 runs at an average of 30.75 with the help of 7 half-centuries.
Royal Challengers Bangalore, after losing their high-scoring opener to Punjab Kings by five wickets, scraped out a narrow three-wicket win over the Kolkata Knight Riders. They will be taking on the Rajasthan Royals on April 5 at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.
