Big Blow to Pakistan! UAE Refuses to Host Remaining PSL 2025 Matches

The future of PSL 2025 looks unclear after UAE reportedly refused to host matches.

The Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 is now facing fresh trouble as the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has reportedly refused to host the remaining matches. This comes after the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had already decided to move the tournament to UAE because of the rising tension between India and Pakistan.

Earlier, the PCB confirmed that the remaining eight matches would be played in UAE instead of Rawalpindi, Multan, and Lahore. The decision was made after foreign players expressed concerns over staying in Pakistan during the ongoing situation. As per PTI, the board declared this shift on Friday, hoping to complete the tournament safely.

However, in a fresh report, a source close to the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) has indicated that the board is unlikely to approve hosting the PSL in UAE. The growing tensions between India and Pakistan are said to be the reason behind this hesitation.

Meanwhile, in India, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has suspended the ongoing IPL 2025 season for a week. The board has said they will monitor the situation and then make a call on when to resume and complete the remaining matches of the tournament.
