

The Capri Global-owned Sharjah Warriors appointed the star English all-rounder Moeen Ali as captain for the inaugural season of the International League T20 which is scheduled to begin on January 13, 2023.
Speaking on being appointed the captain, Moeen Ali expressed his delight, saying:
“It is a great honour and would be a pleasure to lead Sharjah Warriors. In this format, anybody can beat anybody, and it is important to keep evolving.”
“With the team at our disposal, we can play aggressive, yet sensible cricket and hopefully be in the mix towards the business end of the ILT20. Playing at world-class facilities and especially the iconic Sharjah Stadium is a very exciting prospect, and we are all looking forward to it.”

The schedule for the inaugural edition of the International League T20 (ILT20) has been announced, and Dubai Capitals will lock horns with Abu Dhabi Knight Riders in the opening game on January 13, 2023 with the final of the tournament set to be played on February 12.
All six teams, namely Dubai Capitals, Abu Dhabi Knight Riders, Gulf Giants, MI Emirates, Sharjah Warriors and Desert Vipers, will face each other twice during the league-stage encounters before the playoffs, leading up to the final in Dubai.
