The 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has ended with the defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) defeating Shreyas Iyer-led Delhi Capitals (DC) in the final and lifted the IPL trophy for the fifth time. Meanwhile, one new name is added in this list and it is none other than former Australian paceman Brett Lee. He was one of the experts for the official broadcasters and he watched the whole tournament closely. Brett Lee has hailed the opening batsman of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) Devdutt Padikkal, who made his dubut in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020. He was also awarded with Emerging Player of the season. He was the highest run scorer for Royal Challengers Bangalore. He scored 473 runs in 15 matches at 31.53 with five half-centuries while maintaining a strike rate of 124.

Lee’s second choice was Rajasthan Royals’ (RR) Rahul Tewatia. Tewatia has performed brilliantly in the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League. He had earned praises from many cricket experts during the touranmnet. His batting skills and bowling skills has stunned the audience and the cricketing fraternity. He accumulated 255 runs in 14 matches at a strike rate of 139 and picked up ten wickets.

“It has been incredible. It has been hard with no fans, but to me, the best part of this season has been the young Indian players coming through. The Devdutt Padikkals, the Tewatias… We have seen the Delhi Capitals play some really good cricket, so, I will say the fast bowlers too, but I will always say the fast bowlers,” Brett Lee said while speaking to Star Sports.
