The former Australian cricketer Brad Hogg has selected his best eleven after the conclusion of the league stage in the 13th edition of Indian Premier League. For the openers he has selected Shikhar Dhawan and Mayank Agarwal. Shikhar Dhawan’s performance in the cash rich league has been sensational. He is currently sitting on the third spot in the race of the orange cap. Also he is the only player in the IPL who hit two back to back centuries.
Mayank Agarwal, on the other hand, is no less than any other player despite missing his few matches due to injury. He had scored 424 runs in the cash rich league at a strike rate of 156.45.
Surprisingly Brad Hogg didn’t pick KL Rahul as one of the openers. Rahul is currently the orange cap holder in the tournament with 670 runs. He also has the record of getting the highest individual score by a captain in the IPL.
For the middle order Hogg picked Suryakumar Yadav, AB de Villiers, Eoin Morgan and Hardik Pandya.
Suryakumar Yadav has a remarkable season this year as he has scored 410 runs and didn’t disappoint anyone with his bat. AB de Villiers once again prove his worth as he has scored 398 runs at an average and strike rate of 44.22 and 163.78 respectively. Eoin Morgan is the most consistent player of the Kolkata knight Riders, he has scored 418 runs at an average of 41.80. Hardik Pandya, on the other hand has not got many chances to bat but he has played decent cameos at an impressive average and strike rate of 34.4 2 and 174.63.
For fast bowling, he went for Jofra Archer, Mohammed Shami and Jasprit Bumrah. They all have an amazing season this year.
However, Brad hogg didn’t pick Delhi capitals’ Kagiso Rabada, who is currently the Purple cap holder in the cash rich league.
Among the spinners, Hogg zeroed in on leg-spinners Rashid Khan and Yuzvendra Chahal.
