7 Sixes In One Innings! Prabhsimran Singh Destroys Lucknow And Breaks IPL Record

Prabhsimran Singh smashed 7 big sixes in Dharamsala to enter the IPL record books with a blistering knock.

Punjab Kings (PBKS) lit up Dharamsala with a huge total of 236 runs in their 20 overs, thanks to a stunning knock by opener Prabhsimran Singh, who smashed 91 runs off just 48 balls.

The right-handed batter was in top form as he hammered seven towering sixes and six fours during his innings. Prabhsimran opened the innings with Priyansh Arya, who got out early. But the 23-year-old did not slow down.

He attacked the bowlers from the start, targeting Digvesh Rathi, Mayank Yadav, Prince Yadav, and Avesh Khan. His brilliant knock ended in the 19th over, but by then, he had already powered Punjab to a massive total.

Skipper Shreyas Iyer also chipped in with a quick 45 off 25 balls, while Shashank Singh added an unbeaten 33 from 25 deliveries.

Together, they helped PBKS post 236 runs, putting pressure on the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in this high-scoring clash.

Prabhsimran Enters Dharamsala’s IPL Records

With his seven sixes, Prabhsimran Singh has now made his mark in IPL history. He is now the third-highest six-hitter in a single IPL innings at the Dharamsala ground.

Only Punjab Kings legends Adam Gilchrist and Liam Livingstone have hit more sixes in one innings at this venue — both clearing the ropes nine times.

Gilchrist achieved this record in 2011 with a century against Royal Challengers Bengaluru, while Livingstone smashed nine sixes against Delhi Capitals in 2023.
