In what comes as the final signing of Melbourne Stars ahead of the upcoming edition of the Big Bash League (BBL), Victoria batter Campbell Kellaway has been roped in by the Stars on a one-year deal.
Campbell Kellaway had a remarkable outing in the Under 19 World Cup with Australia where he was in the top 10 run scorers for the tournament. Kellaway’s signing completes the quota of Melbourne Stars with him being their 18th signing.
Expressing delight over being handed the opportunity Kellaway said:
“I can’t wait to be a part of the Stars in the BBL this season and keep improving my T20 game. I grew up watching the Big Bash on TV and now being able to participate in it with a number of those players is a huge thrill.”
General Manager of Melbourne Stars, Blair Crouch also expressed delight on their new signing:
“I’d like to welcome Campbell to the Stars Family, and we’re looking forward to seeing his development over the next few months. Having now completed our signings for BBL|12, we couldn’t be more happy about where the list is at.”
“We believe it’s a squad that can go very deep in this tournament and we can’t wait to see everyone at the MCG on December 16.”
The 12th edition of Australia’s Big Bash League is set to get underway on December 15. Melbourne Stars are scheduled to lock horns with Sydney Thunder in the tournament opener.
