Mitchell Starc Breaks Silence! Reveals His Plans for Remaining IPL 2025
Mitchell Starc is yet to confirm his return to IPL 2025, and will take a final call on May 16, ahead of DC’s crucial clash with GT.

The IPL 2025 is set to restart on May 17 with a big match between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Kolkata Knight Riders at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. The tournament had taken a short break due to the rising tensions between India and Pakistan.
The last game before the suspension was on May 8 between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals, which ended suddenly as players were moved off the field for safety reasons.
Mitchell Starc Yet To Confirm Return For DC
The break forced several overseas players to fly back home. While many have now confirmed their return, some players have chosen to stay out of the remaining tournament. England stars like Jofra Archer, Sam Curran, and Jake Fraser-McGurk have all ruled themselves out of the rest of the IPL 2025 season.
Delhi Capitals (DC), who are still in the race for the playoffs, are now waiting for an update on their star pacer Mitchell Starc. The left-arm fast bowler has not yet decided whether he will come back for the rest of the league.
His hesitation is because of the World Test Championship (WTC) Final between Australia and South Africa, scheduled to start on June 11.
According to a report from Nine Sports, Starc is still thinking about his return to the IPL and is expected to make a final decision by Friday, May 16. This update will be crucial for Delhi Capitals, as they face Gujarat Titans next on May 18 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.
Starc has been in good form in this IPL season, taking 14 wickets from 10 matches. His return could boost Delhi’s chances of making it to the playoffs.
