The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), on Monday, August 21 announced the 17-member squad for the Asia Cup 2023. Yuzvendra Chahal was surprising exclusion from the squad.
The selection committee under Ajit Agarkar’s leadership chose Kuldeep Yadav, a specialist spinner, over Chahal, while also featuring spin all-rounders Axar Patel and Ravindra Jadeja as part of the roster for the upcoming continental event.
Meanwhile, just a day after the BCCI revealed India’s lineup for the Asia Cup 2023, Dhanashree Verma, wife of Yuzvendra Chahal, took to Instagram to share a cryptic note, pondering whether being an introvert might impede someone’s professional journey.
“Now I have started to question this on a serious note. If being super submissive & introverted can be harmful for your work growth? Or do we all have to be an extrovert & street smart savvy to grow in life?” Dhanashree wrote on Instagram.
“In the end, It is between you & your God and fortunately the world is with you. Thankful. God is great”, she wrote in another post.

Fans have reacted to Dhanashree Verma’s cryptic message:
Team India chief selector Ajit Agarkar, when asked about Chahal’s omission at the press conference, said that it was hard to fit in two wrist spinners and hence they preferred Kuldeep Yadav in the team due to his recent success in the 50-overs format.
