India’s ace spinner Ravichandran Ashwin lost his calm and looked frustrated after Virat Kohli dropped an easy catch of Aiden Markram during South Africa’s run chase in the low-scoring contest at Perth on Sunday, October 30.
The incident took place in the 12th over, when Markram was playing on 35 runs. Markram sliced up a big shot towards midwicket but it didn’t have enough power as it went straight into Virat Kohli’s hand but the former India captain dropped it.

It was one of the easiest catches and seeing Kohli dropping it left the entire team, including captain Rohit Sharma and Ashwin stunned. Not just this, in the very next over, captain Rohit Sharma missed an easy run-out opportunity as Miller ran for a risky single.
Both the dropped catch and run-out opportunity cost India a match as Aiden Markram went on to clobber 52 off 41 balls, while Miller remained undefeated for an unbeaten 59 as South Africa chased down the target in 19.4 overs to claim a five-wicket victory.
