Pakistan defeated Zimbabwe by 6 wickets in the 2nd ODI. Batting first after winning the toss, Zimbabwe were all out for 206 runs in 45.1 overs. In response, Pakistan won the match by scoring 208 runs for 4 wickets in 35.2 overs.

Pakistan defeated Zimbabwe by 6 wickets in the second One Day International of 3 match series. Batting first after winning the toss, Zimbabwe were all out for 206 runs in 45.1 overs. In response, Pakistan won the match by scoring 208 runs for 4 wickets in 35.2 overs. Captain Babar Azam played an unbeaten inning of 77 runs. At the same time, Imam-ul-Haq scored 49 runs. With the victory, Pakistan took a 2–0 lead over Zimbabwe.

Zimbabwe’s Poor Start

Zimbabwe got off with a poor start after winning the toss and batting first. They lost 3 wickets for 59 runs. Captain Chamu Chibhabha, Craig Ervine and Brian Chari could do nothing special for the team.

Chamu Chibhabha (6 runs) dismissed by Haris Rauf. After this, Craig Ervine couldn’t survive much of the pitch and sent back to the pavilion by Musa Khan and Brian Chari who looks comfortable on the other side scored 25 off 46 deliveries was dismissed by Faheem Ashraf.

After this, wicketkeeper-batsman Brendan Taylor made a partnership of 61 runs for the fourth wicket with Sean Williams. But Taylor couldn’t do much in this match like the previous one and was dismissed by Iftikhar Ahmed at a score of 36 runs off 45 deliveries.

After Taylor’s dismissal, Zimbabwe faltered and their wickets kept falling at regular intervals. Wesley Madhevere (10 runs), Sikandar Raza (2 runs), Tendai Chisoro (7 runs), all three were sent to the pavilion by Iftikhar Ahmed. Meanwhile, Sean Williams made the 32nd fifty of his one-day career. Iftikhar dismissed him as well. Sean Williams scored 75 runs off 70 balls with the help of 10 fours and a six.

Iftikhar Ahmed Took 5 Wickets

Iftikhar Ahmed took 5 wickets for Pakistan. Musa Khan got 2 wickets. Haris Rauf, Faheem Ashraf, Imad Wasim got 1-1 wickets.

Imam and Abid Gave Pakistan a Decent Start

Pakistan team started off chasing the target of 207 runs. Imam-ul-Haq and Abid Ali made a 68-run partnership for the first wicket. Chisoro broke this partnership. He dismissed Abid caught by Irwin at an individual score of 22 runs.

The Imam then shared a 32-run partnership for the second wicket with Babar Azam. Imam missed making fifty by 1 run. Chisoro dismissed him for 49 runs. Hyder Ali and Mohammad Rizwan could not do anything special and were dismissed early.

Meanwhile, Babar Azam hits the 16th fifty of his ODI career and teamed up with Iftikhar to help the team win by scoring 208 runs in 35.2 overs. Babar remained unbeaten on 77 off 74 deliveries with 7 fours and 2 sixes. At the same time, Iftikhar remained unbeaten on 16 off 24 deliveries. Chisoro took 2 wickets for Zimbabwe. At the same time, Williams and Raza got 1–1 wicket.

Pakistan Lead 2-0 in 3-Match ODI Series

With this victory, Pakistan took an unassailable 2–0 lead over Zimbabwe in the 3-match ODI series. The last match of the one-day series will be played on 3rd November. After this, Pakistan and Zimbabwe will also play a 3-match T20 series. All matches will be played in Rawalpindi.
