Ever since the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League has concluded, all the cricket experts and analysts are getting vocal about their opinions on related subject matters. Meanwhile, a new name has been added in the list. Former English player and now commentator Michael Vaughan has picked his top 5 batsmen of the just concluded cash-rich league.
In the latest video shared by Cricbuzz, Vaughan chose his best five batsmen of the season. Starting from five, he picked KL Rahul, who led Kings XI Punjab in the tournament. KL Rahul is the orange cap winner of the league with 670 runs in 14 games. Surprisingly, apart from KL Rahul, all the remaining four batters belong to Mumbai Indians.
For 4th spot, he picked Mumbai Indians’ opener batsman Quinton de Kock, who accumulated 483 runs with a strike rate of 139.60.
For 3rd slot, he preferred Mumbai Indians’ veteran batsman Kieron Pollard. He scored 259 runs in 11 games with a strike rate of 190.44.
The number 2 spot was given to Hardik Pandya. He accumulated 278 runs with a brilliant strike rate of 182.89. The ultimate position in his list is secure by none other than Suryakumar Yadav.
Suryakumar Yadav has earned praises from many cricket experts and analysts. He has been in a great form throughout the season and his omission from the squad for the Australia tour has raised a few eyebrows in the cricket fraternity. He accumulated 281 runs in his bag in 14 matches at an average of 41.91.
