There is now just one day left for the Indian Premier League (IPL) to start. All the teams are preparing vigorously for the tournament.

A day before the start of the tournament, former India cricketer and commentator Aakash Chopra has named the four teams that according to him they can make it to the playoffs of this year’s IPL tournament. In this situation, it is worth noticing that he has not given place to three such teams which have won at least one title. Not just this, he has also named his favourite IPL team.

Aakash Chopra recently shared a video on Instagram in which he mentioned that this year Delhi Capitals is his favourite team. This team is not only a favourite but also a strong contender to win the title. He wrote in the caption that, ‘IPL begins tomorrow. Final set of predictions, and it’s the big question that you’ll have been asking. Who can make it to the playoffs this year? You’ll have your answer on today’s #AakashVani”

Aakash Chopra has placed the last time runner-up Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings at number two. The team lost to defending champions Mumbai Indians last year by just 1 run in the final. MS Dhoni-led-CSK has won the trophy three times so far.

Cricketer turned commentator Aakash has placed Mumbai Indians, the IPL 2019 winners and the most successful team of the tournament, at number three. Mumbai has won the title four times so far.

For the fourth number, Chopra picked two teams, with the first team being Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore and the second one is Dinesh Karthik led Kolkata knight Riders.

The 13th edition of Indian Premier League, starting from September 19 is going to be played in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) across three venues–Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah.

The IPL 2020 playoff venues will be announced later. The final will be held on 10 November. The tournament will run for a total of 53 days and thus become the longest-running season in the history of IPL.
