The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) selection committee, on Wednesday announced India’s squad for the 2021 T20 World Cup.
As expected KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma are the first-choice opening pair at the T20 World Cup, with skipper Virat Kohli to follow at the No. 3 spot. For all rounding options, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja have got a nod. As Hardik Pandya has resumed bowling, he will be one of the must picks among all rounders. Ravindra Jadeja has been selected on the back of his finishing role. He has been impressive with the bat in the last few matches he played.
Coming to the pace department, the committee picked some expected names in the squad: Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
Spin unit has seen Varun Chakravarthy, Axar Patel and Rahul Chahar making it to the squad.
