IND vs SL: Twitter Reacts As India Smash Sri Lanka In 2nd Test To Sweep Series
India registered a 2-0 clean sweep over Sri Lanka by beating them 238 runs in the second Test in Bengaluru.
After thrashing Sri Lanka in the T20I series, Rohit Sharma and co went on to mark their dominance in the longest format of the game as they whitewashed (2-0) the visitors by registering 238 runs victory in the final Test.
After winning the toss and batting first, the hosts found themselves in a spot of bother as they lost 4 wickets under 100 runs. However, thanks to Shreyas Iyer’s batting efforts, India managed to cross the 250-run mark. Sri Lankan spinners Lasith Embuldeniya and Praveen Jayawickrama were on roll as they picked three wickets each.
Sri Lanka, in their first innings of the batting bundled out for just 109 runs as Jasprit Bumrah went to register his maiden five wicket haul on home soil.
During the second innings, India declared their innings on 303 runs and in the end, captain Dimuth Karunaratne smashed a brilliant ton but it was not enough to help Sri Lanka win the match.
