Team India has reached Sydney on Thursday, November 12 and has begun their training on the Australian turf after all the players have tested negative for Covid-19.
The Men in Blue have travelled to Australia for a 3-month long tour that will commence from November 27 with three ODIs, as many T20Is, and four Test matches.
With upcoming series coming nearer, many cricket experts and analysts are coming forward with their views on the teams and players. Meanwhile, former Aussie cricketing stalwart, Mark Taylor has made some surprising picks drawing numerous eyebrows. He picked the XI while speaking to Channel Nine’s Sports Sunday show.
Starting with openers, he picked Will Pucovski, the most consistent player of Australia. He also labelled him as a player for the next decade’. Further, he stated that his (Pucovski) consistent performance with the bat for Victoria in the Sheffield Shield makes him the first choice opener.
He also picked David Warner and Steve Smith in his Playing 11, who was suspended for a year due to their roles in the plan to manipulate the ball using sandpaper during last March’s third Test against South Africa.
Completing his playing 11, he further chose Marnus Labuchange, Matthew Wade, Travis Head, Tim Paine, Mitchell Starc, Pattrick Cummins, Nathan Lyon and Josh Hazlewood.
He picked James Pattinson and Cameron Green as the 12th and 13th man of his team.
