KKR vs RCB to Open IPL 2025 Second Phase as BCCI Releases New Schedule

The BCCI has released the revised IPL 2025 schedule, with KKR set to face RCB in the opening match on May 17.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has officially announced the revised schedule for the IPL 2025. After a short break, the tournament is all set to resume, bringing back the excitement for the fans.

As per the new plan, the IPL 2025 will restart from May 17 with a big clash between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). A total of 17 matches will be played across 6 venues, leading up to the final, which will be held on June 3.

The updated schedule also includes two double-headers, meaning fans will get to enjoy two matches on two Sundays during this phase.

IPL 2025 Playoffs Dates:

  • Qualifier 1 – May 29
  • Eliminator – May 30
  • Qualifier 2 – June 1
  • Final – June 3

The BCCI has mentioned that the venue details for the playoff matches will be shared later.
