“I Was Not Out” – Shubman Gill Argues With Fourth Umpire Over Shocking Run-Out Call During GT vs SRH
Shubman Gill got into a heated argument with the fourth umpire after his controversial run-out against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Gujarat Titans‘ captain Shubman Gill was not happy with the third umpire’s decision that led to his run-out against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Ahmedabad.
The incident happened in the 13th over at the Narendra Modi Stadium when Jos Buttler played the ball towards short fine leg and tried to take a quick single. Gill, running to the striker’s end, struggled to make his ground.
Wicket-keeper Heinrich Klaasen collected Harshal Patel’s throw, and the ball deflected onto the stumps. The bails came off, and the on-field umpire sent the decision upstairs, unsure whether it was the ball or Klaasen’s gloves that disturbed the stumps.
After watching many replays, the third umpire ruled Gill out, saying the ball had hit the stumps directly. Shubman, who scored 76 runs off just 38 balls with 10 fours and 2 sixes, was clearly upset.
He argued with the fourth umpire, insisting that Klaasen’s gloves, not the ball, had broken the stumps. Despite the official’s explanation, Gill looked unconvinced and walked back disappointed.
Before getting out, Gill had given his team a strong start. He added 87 runs with Sai Sudharsan for the first wicket and later built a 62-run stand with Jos Buttler.
Meanwhile, former India cricketers Ajay Jadeja and Deep Dasgupta supported the umpire’s call. They said that the ball, not Klaasen’s hand, had hit the stumps.
Thanks to solid batting by Gill and Buttler, Gujarat Titans put up a big total of 224 runs for six wickets. This match is crucial for Sunrisers Hyderabad as they need a win here to keep their playoff hopes alive.
