In a confirmation from Team India’s skipper Rohit Sharma, it’s been revealed that Shubman Gill is good to go for the much-anticipated clash between India and Pakistan on Saturday, October 14th, at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.
Notably, India’s top-tier opener, Shubman Gill, missed the first two matches against Australia and Afghanistan due to dengue. However, he has made a complete recovery and is ready to feature in the remaining fixtures.
The addition of Shubman Gill is poised to greatly enhance Team India‘s prospects, particularly considering his outstanding performance history at the Ahmedabad stadium. Moreover, he stands as India’s top run-scorer in ODIs this year.
Meanwhile, a day before the game, Shubman Gill was seen inspecting the Ahmedabad pitch closely.
Team India kickstarted their ICC World Cup 2023 campaign against Australia and won the match by six wickets. Then, they locked horns against Afghanistan and defeated them by eight wickets. Rohit Sharma & Co gave exceptional performances in both encounters.
