Lhuan-dre Pretorius made a dream start to his Test career as he smashed a brilliant century on debut in the first Test against Zimbabwe at Bulawayo.
The 19-year-old became the youngest South African cricketer to score a hundred in Test cricket, breaking a 61-year-old record held by Graeme Pollock.
Pretorius reached his maiden century in just 112 balls, showing both skill and aggression.
He achieved this milestone at the age of 19 years and 93 days, surpassing Pollock’s record, which was set back in 1964 when he scored a century against Australia at 19 years and 317 days.

Pretorius, Brevis Build Crucial Partnership
South Africa were struggling early in the innings after losing four quick wickets for just 55 runs.
With the pressure on, debutants Lhuan-dre Pretorius and Dewald Brevis stepped up to rescue the team. The two youngsters added 95 runs for the fifth wicket, helping the Proteas regain control.
Brevis, known for his fearless approach, played a quickfire knock of 51 off 41 balls before being dismissed by Blessing Muzarabani.
Pretorius, however, continued to dominate the Zimbabwean bowlers and led the charge with his attacking play.
