Former Indian Cricketer RP Singh’s Father Passes Away Due To Covid-19

RP Singh's father was ill for a long time and had tested positive for Coronavirus few days back. He was undergoing treatment at Medanta Hospital in Lucknow.

As the second wave of coronavirus continues to have large effects on the country, there have been some effects of it on the famous personalities. So far, many cricketers and other sports personalities have lost their loved ones due to the pandemic.

In another heart-breaking news, Shiv Prasad Singh, father of former India fast bowler RP Singh, passed away on Wednesday due to Coronavirus. RP Singh’s father was ill for a long time and had tested positive for Coronavirus few weeks back. He was undergoing treatment at Medanta Hospital in Lucknow.

RP Singh also posted an emotional message on social media for his father and requested his fans to keep him in their prayers.

“It is with deepest grief and sadness we inform the passing away of my father, Mr Shiv Prasad Singh. He left for his heavenly abode on 12th May after suffering from Covid. We request you to keep my beloved father in your thoughts and prayers. RIP Papa. ॐ नमः शिवाय “, he posted on Twitter.

Earlier, former Indian cricketer RP Singh left the Indian Premier League 2021 commentator’s bio-secure bubble after his father was tested positive with COVID-19. There has been a recent upsurge in the number of cases of COVID-19 in India which had witness indefinitely postponement of the 14th edition of the cash-rich league.

Notably, the former Indian cricketer had a couple of days ago condoled the death of his former teammate Piyush Chawlas father.
