England, on Sunday announced a 17-player squad for the Ashes tour of Australia starting in November.

Star all-rounder Ben Stokes, who is currently on break, has not been named in the squad once again. Sam Curran has also been not been included in the squad due to a stress fracture.

Stuart Broad, who suffered a calf after the first Test against India in August, has been included subject to proving his fitness in a pre-departure training camp at Loughborough.

England’s fast-bowling attack will miss the services of Jofra Archer and Olly Stone. Mark Wood is the only genuine pace bowler and Ollie Robinson, Craig Overton Broad, James Anderson, and Chris Woakes have also been included in the squad.
