After Dream11, Now My11Circle Quits IPL – BCCI Faces Sponsorship Crisis

IPL’s top associate sponsor My11Circle has followed Dream11 in ending its deal with BCCI after India’s new gaming law, leaving a massive void in cricket sponsorship.

Indian Premier League’s biggest associate sponsor, My11Circle, has decided to end its partnership with the tournament, dealing another major blow to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The development comes soon after Dream11 pulled out as the official jersey sponsor of the Indian cricket team.

According to a BCCI official, the fantasy platform informed the board that it would not be able to continue due to mounting business challenges. My11Circle, operated by Games24x7, had committed ₹625 crore for five years in 2024, outbidding Dream11 for the associate sponsor rights.

However, the regulatory clampdown on real-money gaming under the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025, has forced both Dream11 and My11Circle to shut down their operations in India. With fantasy gaming now out of the picture, BCCI will have to look for replacements in new categories to fill the revenue gap.

Last season, My11Circle’s ₹125 crore contribution helped IPL touch nearly ₹875 crore in annual sponsorship income. Of the other sponsors, five have long-term contracts running till 2028, while RuPay’s deal extends till 2026. The exit of two fantasy giants in quick succession, however, leaves the cricket board facing a sponsor hunt ahead of IPL 2026.

Meanwhile, BCCI has already floated fresh valuations for Team India’s jersey sponsorship. The asking price stands at ₹3.5 crore per bilateral fixture and ₹1.5 crore per ICC or ACC game, with expectations of at least ₹450 crore from a new three-year deal. The Indian T20I side, currently preparing for the Asia Cup in Dubai, has been training in plain jerseys without a sponsor’s logo.
