Mohammed Siraj Named Hyderabad Captain for First Two Ranji Trophy Matches
Mohammed Siraj will captain Hyderabad in their first two Ranji Trophy 2026–27 matches, with CV Milind named vice-captain.
Mohammed Siraj has been named Hyderabad captain for the opening two matches of the 2026–27 Ranji Trophy season. The Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) announced a 15-member squad, with Chama V Milind appointed vice-captain.
Siraj will lead Hyderabad against Tripura on October 11 before taking on Andhra on October 18. Milind will take over as captain whenever Siraj is unavailable.
Hyderabad’s 15-Member Squad
The squad includes experienced batter Tanmay Agarwal, Rahul Singh and wicketkeepers Rahul Radesh and Sai Pragnay Reddy. All-rounder Tanay Thyagarajan and pacers Aniketh Reddy and Ajay Dev Goud are also part of the team.

Hima Teja, Rahul Radesh (wicketkeeper), Sai Pragnay Reddy (wicketkeeper), Varun Goud, Tanay Thyagarajan, Aniketh Reddy, Clt. Rakshann Readdi, Ajay Dev Goud, Ruthik Yadav Mende and Sai Vikas Reddy.
Siraj is also part of India’s ODI squad for the three-match home series against the West Indies, which begins on September 27. His availability for Hyderabad will depend on his international commitments.
Hyderabad will begin its Ranji Trophy campaign on October 11, with the team aiming to make a strong start under Siraj’s leadership.
