LPL 2020: Former Indian Bowler Sudeep Tyagi Arrives in Sri Lanka Ahead of LPL
Sudeep Tyagi is quarantined in Hambantota ahead of Lanka Premier League (LPL) 2020. He played four ODIs and one T20I for India, and also featured in the IPL.
Former India pace bowler Sudeep Tyagi, who recently announced his retirement from all formats of the game, arrived in Sri Lanka on Friday ahead of the Lanka Premier League (LPL), which gets underway on November 26.
Indian fast bowler Sudeep Tyagi, on Tuesday announced his retirement from ‘all formats of game’ and arrived in Sri Lanka on Friday to take part in LPL 2020, which is scheduled to be played from November 26 in Hambantota.

Sudeep Tyagi had announced his retirement because of playing in the LPL, because the rules of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), say that no Indian player can play in a foreign league unless the player has played cricket and have not retired.
The 33-year-old also turned out in 14 Indian Premier League matches for the Chennai Super Kings and the Sunrisers Hyderabad. Tyagi played in the IPL in 2009 and 2010. Overall, in his T20 career, he featured in 23 matches and picked up 16 wickets while averaging exactly 30.
As of now, former India all-rounder Irfan Pathan, Munaf Patel, Kusal Perera, Kusal Mendis and Nuwan Pradeep are some of the well-known international names confirmed to take part in the LPL.
The inaugural edition of Lanka Premier League will witness five franchisee teams, named after Colombo, Kandy, Galle, Dambulla, and Jaffna competing in 23 matches.
Colombo will take on Kandy in the opening match of LPL at the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium in Hambantota on November 26.
Every day will have doubleheaders till the semi-finals on December 13 and 14, 2020. The final will be played on December 16.
