BBL 2025-26 kicks off December 14 in Perth, with 44 matches and top IPL stars like Maxwell and Stoinis joining the action
The Big Bash League is back for its 15th season, and fans are in for a thrilling summer of cricket. Cricket Australia has released the full schedule for BBL 2025-26, with the tournament set to begin on December 14 in Perth.
The opening match will see two of the most successful teams, Perth Scorchers and Sydney Sixers, face off in what promises to be a high-voltage clash.
All Teams Get Home Advantage Early
In a move that will please local fans, all teams will get to play at home within the first 10 days of the tournament. They will also return to their home grounds in the final week, giving supporters a chance to cheer for their teams up close during key moments.
A total of 44 matches have been scheduled this season. The final will be played on January 25, giving teams about six weeks of intense competition to fight for the trophy.
Big names like Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis, Jake Fraser-McGurk, Josh Inglis, and Jason Behrendorff will be in action. Most of these players are already well known to Indian audiences thanks to their strong performances in the IPL.
