The record-making and breaking have become a trend at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground. Meanwhile, the same has happened with Jasprit Bumrah on Tuesday. The Indian pacer, on the Day 4 of the second Test has touched another milestone as he equalled spin legend Anil Kumble to become the joint leading wicket-taker for India in Boxing Day Tests at Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Bumrah, on Tuesday during the morning session on Day 4 dismissed Pat Cummins for 22 to register his 15th Test wicket at the iconic venue and with this dismissal, Bumrah equalled the Anil Kumble’s record for the most wickets by an Indian bowler at the iconic venue.

In India’s historic series win in 2018-19, Bumrah had picked up 9 wickets and in the ongoing 2nd Test against Australia, he picked up 6 wickets so far. Bumrah had castled Steve Smith around his legs for 8 on Monday shortly after the tea break. Not just this, Bumrah has also claimed the best bowling figures in an innings (6/33).

Notably, Anil Kumble, Kapil Dev, and B Chandrasekhar have taken two five-wicket hauls at Melbourne Cricket Ground while Jasprit Bumrah has taken one wicket haul at this iconic venue.

As long as the second Test is concerned, the Ajinkya Rahane led the side on Tuesday beat Australia in the second Test match at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) and levelled the series 1-1, with two games still to go.
