The official Twitter handle of Indian Ambassador in Zimbabwe confirmed the news of the pace bowler leaving for India for the cash-rich league.
“Ambassador met with Mr Blessing Muzarabani, the Zimbabwean bowler, as he prepared to leave for #IPL2022. Ambassador wished him & his team #LucknowSuperGiants the very best,” the tweet read.
Notably, the Lucknow based franchise is yet to announce the replacement for Mark Wood, who pulled out of the tournament due to an injury. The franchise bought him for Rs. 7.5 crores during the auction.
IPL 2022 is set to commence on March 26 with Chennai Super Kings facing Kolkata Knight Riders in the opening match at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
Lucknow Super Giants will face fellow debutants Gujarat Titans in their opening match on Monday, the 28th of March at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.
