MI vs RR: Defending champions Mumbai Indians will look to overcome their weaknesses in their upcoming IPL match against Rajasthan Royals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Thursday.
Mumbai will enter this fixture on the back of two consecutive defeats. In their previous match, they suffered a nine-wicket defeat at the hands of the Punjab Kings and hence now they would be aiming to start afresh in the Delhi stage. Rajasthan, on the other hand, have lost three matches in the tournament so far and will try to grab more wins to keep their journey in the tournament smooth.
Mumbai Indians’ biggest concern is their middle-order which is not performing as a unit. The likes of Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav, and Hardik Pandya have failed with the bat in the tournament so far.
Talking about their bowling department, their fast bowlers Trent Boult and Jasprit Bumrah have bowled very well especially in the death overs. Leg-spinners Rahul Chahar has also bowled impressively and are expected to perform the same way in the Arun Jaitley Stadium.
Rajasthan Royals, on the other hand, are dealing with a number of problems. The team has been weakened due to the withdrawal of their foreign players – Jofra Archer, Ben Stokes, Liam Livingstone and Andrew Tye due to various reasons.
However, they will head into the fixture on the back of a solid win against the Kolkata Knight Riders, courtesy of Chris Morris’ spectacular four-wicket haul.
However, RR will need Jos Buttler to step up if they have to reach the IPL 2021 knockout phase. With the likes of Mustafizur Rahman and captain Sanju Samson also impressing, the Rajasthan Royals are in a good shape ahead of Thursday’s IPL 2021 fixture.

MI vs RR Weather & Pitch Report
The track at Delhi favours the batsmen, however, it also offers good support to bowlers. The pacers should get the ball to swing and bounce early on, while spinners will get some help in the middle overs, which could keep batsmen on their toes. Wickets in hand will be key for either side as they eye a score over 165.
The temperature at Delhi will hover around 36 degrees Celsius during the match. There are no chances of precipitation and humidity will be around 25%.
