A day after receiving visas for the ICC World Cup 2023 in India, Babar Azam-led Pakistan has now arrived in Hyderabad ahead of the showpiece event on Wednesday, September 27.
Notably, Hyderabad airport lit up as the Pakistan cricket team touched down, greeted by an enthusiastic crowd that couldn’t contain their excitement. A plethora of videos are trending on social media, showing the players arriving in Hyderabad to an ecstatic crowd chanting their names.
Meanwhile, Pakistan’s fast bowler Shaheen Afridi has responded to the heartfelt welcome they received from the residents of Hyderabad. He took to his latest Instagram story and wrote, “Hyderabad, India, Great Welcome thus far.”

Pakistan’s men’s cricket team is visiting India for the first time in seven years. The ICC World Cup 2023 is set to get underway on October 5 with the opening match set to be played on reigning champions England and runner-ups New Zealand at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.
Pakistan team will play a couple of warm-up games in Hyderabad before kicking off their tournament campaign against the Netherlands on October 5 at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, Hyderabad.
