The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had announced the squads for the tour of Australia last week and Suryakumar Yadav once again got ignored by national selectors as he was not named in any of the squads for the tour of Australia.
All the cricketing fraternity and fans are raising eyebrows on the selectors as they have not picked Suryakumar Yadav for the Australia tour, despite witnessing his sensational performance in the cash-rich tournament, that is being played in the UAE.
The right-handed batsman has proved his worth in the ongoing 13th edition of the Indian Premier League. After scoring 512 and 424 runs in the previous two seasons of the tournament, he has already scored 410 runs in the ongoing edition. Mumbai Indians still has two matches left in which Suryakumar Yadav may increase his impressive Tally.
Meanwhile, the BCCI president, Sourav Ganguly has also appreciated the 30-year old batsman and said that ‘batsman’s time’ will come. The former India skipper’s comment may calm the nerves of Suryakumar Yadav as he desperately waits for his break in the international cricket.
“He is a very good player. His time will come,” Ganguly told Hindustan Times.
The BCCI President Sourav Ganguly has always appreciated the new talents. Suryakumar Yadav is not the only player who has impressed Ganguly. Rajasthan Royals’ Sanju Samson, Kolkata Knight Riders’ Rahul Tripathi, Varun Chakravarthy and Shubman Gill and Royal Challengers Bangalore’s Devdutt Padikkal has also impressed the BCCI President in the ongoing tournament.
Sanju Samson, Varun Chakravarthy has been named in India’s T20I for the tour of Australia. Shubman Gill is selected for Test and ODI.
