Nicholas Pooran is known for his calm nature, but during the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad at Lucknow’s Ekana Stadium, fans saw a different side of the West Indian batter.
Playing a must-win game to stay alive in the race for the IPL 2025 playoffs, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) posted a strong total of 205 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in their 20 overs.

Pooran Loses His Cool in Dressing Room
After getting run out, Nicholas Pooran was spotted in the dressing room in a very angry mood. He was seen hitting the sofa in frustration, and even threw his gloves. His reaction surprised many as he rarely loses his temper on the field or off it.
It seemed the run-out incident affected him deeply. He looked completely frustrated, perhaps due to the pressure of the situation and missing out on finishing the innings.
The situation was so tense that even Shardul Thakur had to walk up to Pooran in the dressing room and calm him down. The visuals clearly showed that Pooran was not happy and needed time to settle down.

LSG Post Competitive Total
Before this emotional moment, LSG put up a fighting total thanks to fine knocks from Mitchell Marsh (65 off 39) and Aiden Markram (61 off 38). Pooran’s quickfire 45 also added valuable runs in the end.
Now, the ball is in the bowlers’ court. LSG will be hoping their bowlers can defend this target and keep their playoff hopes alive.
