Sunrisers Hyderabad opted to bat first, but their decision crumbled as openers fell cheaply. Brief flickers of hope from partnerships were quickly extinguished. The KKR bowling attack, led by Andre Russell’s three wickets, restricted SRH to a mere 113 runs.
Chasing a modest target, Kolkata Knight Riders lost their fiery opener Sunil Narine early. However, a solid 91-run stand between Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Venkatesh Iyer put the chase to bed. Captain Shreyas Iyer finished things off alongside Venkatesh Iyer, reaching the target in just 10.3 overs.
