RCB suffered their second defeat of the IPL 2024 on Friday, March 29, as the Kolkata Knight Riders beat them by seven wickets, extending their winning streak against them at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.
Batting first, RCB put 182 runs on the board for the loss of six wickets with Virat Kohli top-scoring with an unbeaten 83 runs from 59 balls. However, it was not enough as KKR chased down the target in just 16.5 overs.
Following the defeat, there was significant criticism of Virat Kohli’s knock, with many suggesting he could have accelerated and scored runs at a better strike rate, especially on a pitch favourable to batting.
Meanwhile, in a viral video, which is now getting viral on social media, one RCB fan can be spotted stating that the team would not win the IPL trophy as long as Virat Kohli remains in the team.
Notably, RCB has played three matches in the IPL 2024, winning just one and losing two. Their captain, Faf du Plessis, is struggling with form, while their bowling attack has looked lacklustre so far.
