Rohit Sharma Notches Up a World Record, Becomes 1st Indian Player To Do So
Rohit Sharma has become the first Indian player to record 400 T20 appearances.
Rohit Sharma, on Sunday (October 3) achieved an unprecedented record as he became the first Indian cricketer to make 400 appearances in the shortest format of the game during the second T20I against South Africa in Guwahati.
Former West Indies captain and all-rounder Kieron Pollard lead this tally with 614 T20 appearances while his compatriot Dwayne Bravo occupies second place with 556 games.
Pakistan batter Shoaib Malik (481), West Indian legend Chris Gayle (463), Sunil Narine (435), Ravi Bopara (429), Andre Russell (428), and South African batting star David Miller (403) are placed ahead of Rohit Sharma.
Among Indians, the wicketkeeper-batter Dinesh Karthik is the second player with the most T20 appearances with 368 games so far, while former India captain MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli stand third and fourth on this list with 361 and 353 games, respectively.
