With this, he became the first bowler ever to pick a fifer against RCB in IPL history. In the extensive history of the IPL spanning 17 years, no bowler had accomplished the feat of claiming a five-wicket haul against RCB.
Jasprit Bumrah kicked off his demolition spree by sending RCB’s opener, Virat Kohli, back to the pavilion. He followed it up with the dismissals of Faf du Plessis, Mahipal Lomror, Saurav Chauhan, and Vyshak Vijaykumar, completing his five-wicket haul while conceding a mere 19 runs in his four overs.
