Wanindu Hasaranga Picks Four Wickets As KKR Bundled Out For 128 By RCB
Wanindu Hasaranga snapped four wickets as Kolkata Knight Riders produced a disappointing batting effort to be bowled out for 128 by RCB.
Sri Lankan leg spinner Wanindu Hasaranga lived up to his INR 10.75 Crore price tag as picked up four wickets against Kolkata Knight Riders to restrict them to the score of 128 in the sixth match of IPL 2022 at the DY Patil Stadium on Wednesday.
The 24-year-old destroyed the spine of KKR batting line-up and didn’t allow them to build any kind of momentum in their innings. Akash Deep (3/45), Harshal Patel (2/11) and Mohammed Siraj (1/25) were other top contributors with the ball for RCB.
Hasaranga picked up the big wicket of KKR captain Shreyas Iyer before trapping Sunil Narine. The leg spinner made it two from two as he dismissed Sheldon Jackson on the very first delivery. He finished his quota of four overs with a wicket of Tim Southee.
