While Shadab Khan is set to remain in the ICC World Cup 2023 squad for Pakistan, there is a strong possibility of him losing the vice-captaincy, with fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi emerging as a prime candidate for the role.

Chief Selector Inzamam-ul-Haq and skipper Babar are slated to meet with Zaka Ashraf, Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) management committee in the near future. The final call on the team composition hinges on Ashraf’s approval.

Regarding Naseem Shah, it appears that the young pacer is set to miss the ICC World Cup 2023 due to a shoulder injury. This is a big blow for Pakistan since he was one of their top bowlers, known for his ability to bowl consistently in any phase of the game.
