RCB Seal Final Spot; PBKS Await Eliminator Winner in Second Shot at IPL 2025 Final

RCB thrashed Punjab Kings to reach their 4th IPL final, while PBKS will now face the winner of MI vs GT in Qualifier 2.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) stormed into their fourth IPL final after thrashing Punjab Kings (PBKS) in Qualifier 1 at Mullanpur. This was a dominating performance from the Rajat Patidar-led side, who have been the most consistent team throughout IPL 2025.

RCB Bowlers Destroy PBKS Batting

On a green pitch, Patidar won the toss and chose to bowl first. RCB’s bowlers got going right from the start. Punjab’s top order collapsed quickly, with Prabhsimran Singh, Priyansh Arya, and Shreyas Iyer getting out inside the powerplay.

Marcus Stoinis tried to fight back with a 26 off 17 balls, but his dismissal triggered a complete collapse. Punjab Kings could only manage 101 runs before getting all out.

Phil Salt Finishes It Off For RCB

RCB’s chase didn’t start smoothly as Virat Kohli was bowled out by Kyle Jamieson for a rare low score. But England’s Phil Salt showed no signs of pressure and played a brilliant knock. He smashed the PBKS bowlers all around the ground and finished the chase comfortably, helping RCB enter another IPL final.

PBKS Get One More Chance

Even though they lost badly, PBKS are not out of the tournament yet. They will now face the winner of the Mumbai Indians vs Gujarat Titans Eliminator match, which will be played on Friday, May 30.

Qualifier 2 will take place on Sunday, and the winner of that match will play RCB in the final of IPL 2025.
