“Officially Pilot” – MS Dhoni Adds New Badge of Honour
MS Dhoni earns official drone pilot license, adding a new milestone to his legendary cricketing and adventurous life.
MS Dhoni, India’s legendary captain, has once again impressed fans, this time off the cricket field. The former India skipper recently announced on social media that he has officially earned his drone pilot license.
Dhoni completed the training at Garuda Aerospace’s DGCA-approved Remote Pilot Training Organisation in Chennai. Garuda, where Dhoni serves as brand ambassador and investor, confirmed that the 42-year-old picked up the skills quickly and focused intently on the training.
“Mahi Bhai is an inspiration, and his hands-on approach validates our commitment to skill and innovation in this sector,” said Garuda CEO Agnishwar Jayaprakash.
Known for keeping his personal life private, Dhoni has long pursued hobbies like motorcycling and aviation. He also has strong ties with the Indian Army, holding an honorary rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Territorial Army’s Parachute Regiment.
In 2019, he completed a 15-day attachment in Jammu and Kashmir and later became a trained paratrooper. Dhoni’s cricketing legacy is unmatched. Since debuting in 2004, he became the only captain in history to win all three ICC trophies: the 2007 T20 World Cup, 2011 World Cup, and 2013 Champions Trophy.
Although he retired from international cricket in 2020, he continues to lead Chennai Super Kings in the IPL, where he has scored 5,439 runs in 278 matches, including 237 sixes, and guided CSK to five IPL titles.
