Jimmy Neesham Brutally Trolls Glenn Maxwell After The Australia All-Rounder Tries To Take a Dig At Him
Jimmy Neesham and Glenn Maxwell were involved in some funny banter on Twitter, with the New Zealand cricketer roasting his former IPL teammate.
New Zealand cricketer James Neesham is mostly known for his classic and humorous responses on Twitter. He keep entertaining his fans with his brilliant sense of humour.
As the Kiwi all-rounder is all set to ply his service to the Mumbai based franchise in the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League, Neesham has once again shown a glimpse of his comical attitude when he indulged in friendly banter with Australian star Glenn Maxwell.
It was Maxwell who started it all by taking a cheeky dig at Neesham but the latter had the last laugh. It all started when a fan asked Neesham about his plans of joining the Mumbai Indians camp ahead of the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The 14th season of the cash rich league is scheduled to begin on April 9. With not much time left before the tournament starts, players have started joining their respective teams.
Interestingly, Neesham and Maxwell will be up against each other in the first game of IPL 2021. While Neesham is a part of Mumbai Indians for the upcoming season, Maxwell will be playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore. Coming to the conversation between the two, Neesham replied to the fan in his own humorous way.
“I’m coming, but I’m stuck behind this bloody cargo ship,” tweeted Neesham while referring to the Suez Canal episode where a huge container ship got stuck in the naval passageway.
After Neesham used an international incident to leave his fans in splits, Maxwell decided to have a go at the Auckland-lad. The Victorian wrote, “Must be hard carrying bags that are 46,44,46.”
Maxwell referred to the over during the third T20I between Australia and New Zealand held earlier this month, where he smashed Neesham for 28 runs. The Melbourne-lad had slammed 4,6,4,4,4, and 6 in that over. However, after the game; the duo had exchanged their jerseys where Neesham had mentioned these figures on the t-shirt.
Coming to the banter, Neesham was quick to fire back and made sure that he remind Maxwell about the winner of the five-match T20I series between New Zealand and Australia. The Black Caps had won the series 3-2.
“Haha nah you get used to lifting stuff after a while,” wrote Neesham.
