PBKS vs DC: Rishabh Pant is nearing a big achievement on his comeback
The second match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 will be played between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Delhi Capitals (DC) on Saturday, March 23 at Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur, Chandigarh.
Here are the Top Three Records That Can Be Broken in IPL’s 1st Match Between PBKS vs DC.
1. Shikhar Dhawan
The Punjab Kings captain is just two sixes away from completing 150 sixes in the IPL. Once he achieves this milestone, Dhawan will become the 10th Indian batter to reach 150 sixes in the IPL. Additionally, Shikhar is the second-highest run scorer in the IPL, with Virat Kohli at the top. Among the active batters, Jos Buttler (149) and Faf Du Plessis (145) are also nearing 150 IPL sixes.
2. David Warner
He has so far smashed 646 boundaries in the IPL. He needs to hit four more boundaries to complete 650 fours, making him only the second batter to achieve this feat. The first one was Shikhar Dhawan, who currently has 750 fours in the IPL.
3. Rishabh Pant
He has 79 dismissals as a keeper so far in the IPL, just two dismissals behind Parthiv Patel, who has 81 dismissals as a keeper. By surpassing Parthiv, Pant will become the 5th most successful keeper in the history of the IPL. Parthiv kept wickets for 122 innings, whereas Pant has kept for only 88 innings so far. MS Dhoni holds the record for the most dismissals by a keeper in IPL history, with 180 dismissals.
