IPL 2024: Richard Gleeson Makes History as CSK’s Oldest Debutant Ever
Richard Gleeson made his debut for CSK at the age of 36.
Richard Gleeson, the South African bowling all-rounder, etched his name in the record books today as he made his much-anticipated debut for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the ongoing 49th match of the IPL 2024 against Punjab Kings.
Gleeson, at the age of 36 years and 151 days, becomes the second oldest player to debut in the IPL since 2014, joining an exclusive club of veteran debutants. The current record holder is Sikandar Raza, who made his debut at 36 years and 342 days.
