Virat Kohli dropped a sitter but managed to run Matthew Wade out after a bad mix-up in the middle and the Australia stand-in skipper departed for 58 after a comical run-out.
Australia stand-in captain Matthew Wade led from the front as he smashed his second T20I fifty off just 25 deliveries to give the hosts a blistering start against India in the second T20I in Sydney.
Wade was given a life when Hardik Pandya dropped his catch at 39. However, Wade ran out of luck in the 8th over when Indian skipper Virat Kohli got the better of his rival captain despite dropping him. Kohli dropped a sitter at covers when Matthew Wade got a leading edge. However, the India captain managed to run Wade out after a bad mix-up in the middle.
Wade had given up, thinking Kohli was going to take that dolly but and was halfway down the pitch. He had no chance of getting back. Smith alerted him of the drop but Wade was almost walking away before the drop and it was too late to recover.
