After a fan mistook former India cricketer Wasim Jaffer as India's batting coach and accused him of just making memes, the latter responded saying, "I am not the batting coach."
Team India, on Saturday, bowled out for 36, their lowest-ever total in Test cricket, as Australia handed them an 8 wicket defeat in the series opener. Soon after witnessing an embarrassing defeat of team India, fans have not waited to start the blame game on social media.
In one such incident, a fan surprisingly pointed at Wasim Jaffer, declaring him India’s batting coach and accusing him of just making memes.
“When the batting coach is busy making memes, what can be expected from the batsmen,” the fan wrote.
To this, Jaffer replied, “I am not the batting coach Mohit.”

Notably, former Indian opener Vikram Rathour is currently the batting coach of senior men’s cricket team. Wasim Jaffer is the batting coach of Uttarakhand and IPL team Kings XI Punjab.

India batsmen on Saturday were blown away by the Australian pace trio of Josh Hazlewood, Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc.
The Australia bowlers came up with one of their best bowling performances to restrict India to a record-breaking 36 all-out in the first Test at Adelaide Oval, their lowest ever score in test innings.
Their previous lowest total was 42 all out in the Lord’s Test against England on June 20, 1974. This is also the fifth-lowest total overall, and the lowest total by any team in 65 years.
