“Craig Overton Trying To Sledge Buddha Of Cricket” – Twitter Reacts As Overton Tries To Intimidate Cheteshwar Pujara
England's Craig Overton attempted to intimidate Cheteshwar Pujara but he stood his ground as he went on to score 61 off 127 balls.
The third day of the fourth Test between England and India at The Oval went in India’s favor as their batsmen made the most of the better batting conditions.
KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma resumed the day and made sure that they don’t throw their wicket against the pacer in the overcast conditions. It was a good delivery that got the better of KL Rahul but apart from that, the batsmen looked solid in the middle.
Coming to bat at number 3, Cheteshwar Pujara looked good with the willow. He looked in a positive mindset and played some good shots off good deliveries instead of a premeditated mindset of defense.
However, something happened in the 49th over of India’s innings which didn’t look good on screen. Pujara went on backfoot and scored two beautiful fours off Overton which visibly left the latter frustrated.
The fourth ball of the same over of Overton made it pretty evident that England bowlers were frustrated and nervous. Overton bowled a straighter delivery which Pujara pushed back at him. The bowler got a hold of the ball and acted as if he was going to throw the ball at the batsman in a very furious manner.

Earlier in the match, Rohit Sharma, who was enjoying the batting conditions on 3rd day of the game went on to claim his very first overseas century and overall 8th of his Test career.
The massive partnership between Pujara and Rohit Sharma, however, came to an end by England pace bowling sensation Ollie Robinson. He struck twice with the new ball in an over, dismissing both Rohit and Pujara.
While Rohit fell for 127 runs, Pujara was dismissed for 61. Later, bad lights forced early stumps with Indian captain Virat Kohli (22*) and Ravindra Jadeja (9*) in the middle as India scored 270/3 after 92 overs, leading England by 171 runs.
