BCCI Bans White and Grey Colors in IPL Jerseys, Preity Zinta Reveals

Preity Zinta made this revelation during Punjab Kings new jersey launch.

The co-owner of Punjab Kings, Preity Zinta, has revealed the reason why none of the 10 franchises playing in the Indian Premier League (IPL) choose white or grey colours for their jerseys anymore.

Preity Zinta stated that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has prohibited the use of white or grey colours in IPL jerseys, citing the use of white cricket balls in the tournament.

Interestingly, there was a period when Punjab Kings sported a red and grey jersey, which was regarded as one of their finest.

However, their latest release ahead of IPL 2024 features a red and blue ensemble, comprising a red T-shirt paired with blue pants.

Punjab Kings will kick off their IPL 2024 campaign against Delhi Capitals on March 23 at Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, Punjab.
