BCCI Announces India Squad for ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 And Tri-series in South Africa

The Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 is set to get underway on February 10.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), on Wednesday (December 28) announced India women’s 15-member squad for the upcoming Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 in South Africa.

Harmanpreet Kaur will lead the Women in Blue in the World Cup with Smriti Mandhana set to play the role of a deputy. Shafali Verma has retained her place in the squad, alongside Jemimah Rodrigues, Harleen Deol and Deepti Sharma.

Yastika Bhatia and Richa Ghosh are the two wicketkeepers in the team while Shikha Pandey made a surprise comeback to the team. The team has 3 reserves in the form of Sabbhineni Meghana, Sneh Rana, and Meghna Singh

The BCCI have also announced the squad for the tri-series, involving South Africa and West Indies as other teams, which is scheduled to be played from January 19 to February 2.
