South Africa pacer Dwaine Pretorius ruled out of ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2022 due to a fracture in his thumb.

South Africa suffered a huge blow ahead of the T20 World Cup 2022 as their star all-rounder Dwaine Pretorius ruled of the showpiece event as well as the three-match ODI series against India.
Cricket South Africa (CSA) took to twitter to provide an update on Pretorius, stating the all-rounder ruled out of the ongoing series as well as T20 World Cup 2022 due to a fracture in his left thumb.
“All-rounder Dwaine Pretorius has been ruled out of the three-match ODI series against India and the proceeding ICC Men’s T20 World Cup due to a fracture of his left thumb,” CSA wrote in a tweet.
Pretorius played the last T20I against India at Indore, where he picked a three-wickeg haul while conceding just 26 runs in his 3.3 overs spell. It will be intriguing to see who will replace the right-arm quick in the South Africa line up.
